Schools & Organisations

Apple & Thyme can work with schools to offer a range of food education services to Swadlincote, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Burton-on-Trent, Derby and surrounding areas. Cooking is such a fantastic educational tool as it is a cross-curricular learning experience. How about a workshop or a feast to introduce/celebrate a topic or simply a workshop introducing children to food and textures they may not have experienced before. Children are more likely to try new foods when with their peers.? If you have an idea or a theme we can work with let us know and we’ll see what we can do. Recently in schools I have worked with a whole school so they could cater for their Christmas party and have made pirate treasure with a group of nursery aged children.

Sessions can be tailored for EYFS, KS1, KS2 and upwards. No need to worry about ingredients, resources and equipment as I can provide this along with knowledge, experience. I’ll even clean up afterwards!

Prices start at £120 half day, £240 full day
all ingredients and equipment included
